Who is Joshua Miles
Joshua Miles ARSMA is a South African artist born in the Western Cape in 1967. A graduate of the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town, he was awarded the Michaelis Prize for top student in his final year.
He specializes in reduction block printmaking, combining impressionist mark-making with a Japanese technique of selective ink rolling to capture subtle qualities of light and reflections. He works alongside his wife, Angela, dividing their time between homes and studios in South Africa and Scotland. His artwork is held in private collections internationally.
